If you follow me on social media you would have already seen our exciting news!
For someone who shares almost everything with you, this has been the hardest secret to keep! I’ve so often wanted to shout our joy from the rooftops, but have been extra cautious until we had the big 12 weeks scan. We had the scan on Friday the 23rd. I was so anxious, but baby is perfectly healthy and I actually cried! The perfect Christmas gift! Baby G is due on 5 July 2017.
It’s also such a relief to be able to share this so that people who have seen me can know it’s pregnancy and not me eating all the Christmas cake known to man! I actually bumped into someone who very stupidly bravely said, while looking at my tummy area: “Ah it’s nice to see you are enjoying the festive season!”
After we were given the clear to make an announcement, I came up with an idea for a little video reveal. I filmed it, edited it and was all ready, slightly anxious and overly excited to post it on Christmas morning. I posted it to Instagram – success.
As I went to post it to Facebook, it kept showing me an error message. That’s when I created the picture above and posted this:
Here is our video:
Sox and I celebrated our 5th Christmas together, our 1st as a married couple and our last as a family of 2! It’s a mind blowing thought to think that next Christmas we’ll have a 6 month old!
Thank you for all the amazing comments and love we received – we are absolutely over the moon and to share it with you, is the best!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoy what is left of 2016. Thank you for all the love and support. It makes me ecstatic to see your comments and know that you read this blog.
I thought this would be final blog post for 2016. It’s been quite the year of high highs and low lows, but all in all, a year to be grateful for.
I’m going to be taking a little break from the blog and will resume with fresh content, an exciting new competition and more in 2017!
See you next year and in the meantime, I’ll be on social media x

January 9, 2017 at 8:16 amPlease share with us the “build up” to finding out about your pregnancy? Did you have any obvious symptoms before taking the test – like morning sickness or cravings? How did you tell Sox that you were pregnant? I find it all so exciting and I love to “hear” details about peoples pregnancy journey 🙂
I keep thinking back to reading your blog many years ago and all the heartache you were going through and now you are becoming a mommy…. I have been on your journey right from the start of vanilla blonde and after everything else you have done for me recently, I’m honestly SO excited to go through this next phase of your life “with” you xxx

It is really personal and I feel like I only want to share it with those who want it. I’m creating a newsletter for later this week so that those who subscribe and want to read our happy news can… instead of it being so public and a free for all on my blog. xxxx Keep watching so you can subscribe and I promise I’ll never spam!
