New Beginnings

Changes can be very scary, but without change we don’t grow. I have not only moved (or at least added another city to my living arrangements), but I have also decided to go back to studying! I already have a BA Journalism degree where I majored in Information Science. I am now going to add to that with a course through Quirk Education and the University of Stellenbosch.

I am rusty. It’s been a while since I studied.

It was quite nostalgic walking into the stationary store and buying files, highlighters, note pads and so on. I am a sucker for stationary and the smell of it. I’m like a little kid in a candy store.

I also feel quite overwhelmed. This is a lot to take in all at once, my schedule is pretty crazy as is, but I’ve always liked a good challenge, so here goes. I’m throwing myself in the deep end and hoping for the best.

I’ve been working on my first assignment all week – it’s due tomorrow and I’m nervous.

In other news, Cape Town has been positively showing off. The weather has been amazing. Today is going to be a scorcher – 31 degrees.

The sunsets have been something else! If you follow me on Instagram (@vanillablondebailey) – you will have seen some of them.

I didn’t edit or put any filters on them.

I took these off the roof of my apartment…

Yesterday I went to an amazing beauty launch at Ellerman House. This was taken in the Villa where Oprah, Alex Ferguson and The Kardashian’s have stayed…
