Life has been a bit of a blur to be honest. I feel like there are days that I nail it and days that are messy and exhausting. I really want to blog more but I know you understand and forgive me (I hope!)
Georgie is getting bigger (and cuter) by the day. He is 19 weeks tomorrow (4 months) and time is flying! He’s drooling so much now that we can’t leave his bib off, or this happens…
The one thing that almost everyone comments on is his eyelashes. They’re amazingly long and curl up. When his eyes are open they touch his eyebrows. I mean!! What is it about boys getting the best lashes?
I had a little giggle… a stranger stopped me the other day to compliment me on George and as she got closer she said: “Oh my goodness! His eyelashes! Oh he definitely gets his lashes from his Mommy.”
I didn’t have the heart to tell her that his are real; mine are extensions!
I can’t get enough of his angelic sleeping face…
My favourite moment is when I hear him at around 6am… He wakes up cooing and “talking” in his cot. As soon as I walk into his nursery and he sees me, his face breaks into the biggest toothless grin and I melt. His grin gets even wider as I sing our little “Good Morning” song. It’s the BEST way to start my day!
Here he is in his little rocker with his heart breaker smile.
His eye colour is interesting… In photos they look brown. In person they’re still a dark blue and in the last 2 weeks his eyes have started going green, like Dads. Dad has lots of fun with G’s wardrobe and being his stylist… My sister and BIL had this onesie made and Sox paired it with his joggers, poor boy hat and baby converse.
These are the Converse shoes we used in our Baby Announcement and it’s amazing to see him wearing them now. We’re capitalizing because I think we’re a week or 2 away from them being too small. Sob. Slow down time! This little tummy-time face makes me laugh…
We’ve been going to “Mommy and Me” play classes once a week and it’s the sweetest thing to see him play and develop. At the end of the class, he is EXHAUSTED and passes out.
In other news, Maurice Carpede and I have been having lots of fun on our radio show… There’s a lot of show prep that goes into our 3-6pm show and it’s rewarding when it all goes well.
The other day I tried the GLAMGLOW face mask I’ve seen all over social media and it was so incredibly satisfying. While Georgie napped, I took full advantage to have a quick shower and try the mask. You paint it on with the brush supplied. It’s shiny white-silver and as it drys it tightens. No smiling here. The most satisfying thing was peeling it off after 20 minutes. My skin felt so soft (almost like George’s) and fresh afterwards. I’m a fan!
Find the range at selective Woolworths or Foschinis.
Tomorrow I’m introducing you to a company called LOVEABLES…
Yip, I’m slowly but surely getting my regular blogging schedule back on track. Thanks for understanding!
PS. Biz Community did an interview with me and one of the questions I had to answer was what a typical day looks like… If you’re interested to see what my day is like now with career and baby, have a read here: #BehindTheSelfie
