Goodbye 2011

What a year 2011 has been. It’s been a year of high highs and low lows, but I can gladly say the highs were…well… higher.

I’ve been hospitalized twice. I’ve been prodded and poked and been quite ill with the same condition. It’s only been in the last 2 months that I’m feeling better.

I’ve lost a friend. RIP.

I’ve had 2 mini car accidents.

I’ve had a bitter sweet experience in presenting a TV show and then having the “contract” come to an end.

I have traveled. I’ve done a cruise to the Mozambique Portuguese Islands with my best friend and met the love of my life. I’ve traveled to Durban a lot, thanks to a 5 month long distance relationship. I’ve traveled to Mauritius and had the most magical experience, plus I got to cross off one of the things I had on my bucket list.

I’ve had my love move back home to Johannesburg, much to my absolute delight.

I’ve done some incredibly fun radio shows every afternoon on 94.7 Highveld Stereo and Mark Pilgrim and I have done some interesting planking (in stores and on the Gautrain.)

I’ve been nominated for an MTN Radio Award.

I’ve presented an award at The YOU Magazine Awards.

I’ve been a proud ambassador for Yogi Sip and Kelloggs Special K.

I am a proud eye wear ambassador for Safilo.

I’ve seen good friends get engaged and married and celebrated big birthdays with the special people in my life, like G’s and Karolina’s 30th birthdays.

I’ve done a lot of charity work and felt inspired.

I’ve made new friends and strengthened the friendships I have already. I’m really blessed.

I’ve seen Vanilla Blonde grow and I couldn’t be more excited or proud. Thank you for coming here daily and reading what I have to say. Thank you for leaving comments under “Share the Love” on each blog post.

I am looking forward to what 2012 has in store for me and I have some New Years Resolutions that I am hoping will be long standing.

I hope you all have a wonderful 2012 and that the highs outweigh the lows 🙂
