I’ve mentioned before that I’m in desperate need of a holiday. It’s the mid-year slump and I think we’re all just tired. A lot of us don’t want to use our leave days now, when the December/January holidays are just around the corner.

Eeek.

Where is this year going?

I’ve also decided to stop harbouring on the fact that I need a holiday. It doesn’t help matters and just makes the longing worse.

Instead, I’m going to create little Stay-cations around my work schedule. I’m going to start using my weekends productively and enjoy some more me-time.

One of my favourite things to do is curl up on the couch, in a fortress of pillows and blankets with cups of Vanilla Tea (or glasses of wine) and just do one of my guilty pleasures – binge watch series and movies.

So when I heard about a new video on demand service that Naspers launched earlier this week, called ShowMax, I did a happy dance!

I don’t know about you, but when I am really gripped by an excellent series, I hate having to wait week on week for the new episodes. With my schedule I sometimes miss it or I am not able to watch it at the time it’s programmed to air.

So when a service like ShowMax is released into the market that gives me the opportunity to watch all seasons of a hit show back-to-back, how do I resist?

Sox has tried his utmost best to get me into Entourage. I think the time has come for me to give it a bash and really see what the fuss is about, but the trade-off is simple… We do Entourage right from the beginning to now, if he commits to watching Grey’s Anatomy with me from the start too.

Little does he know there’s a lot more of Grey’s to get through.

With our uncapped line and R99.00 per month for ShowMax, I don’t think this will be an issue.
