Dusty Rebels and The Bombshells Ticket Giveaway

I’m so excited for this Saturday! I’ll be entering a whole new world and judging the Miss Bombshell Betty Pageant.

The Dusty Rebels and The Bombshells sounds like a band, but it’s actually a 1940’s/1950’s Rockabilly Lifestyle festival. A true Lifestyle Festival should really be about celebrating a way of life, and the people, clothes, music, ideas and trimmings that go with it.

Today, thanks in part to a resurgence in the music, the cars, burlesque, fashion and film of the era, DRTB is enjoying its third annual event.

In truth, there’s a lot to take in over the twelve hours that the festival runs. There’s the Miss Bombshell Betty Pin up Pageant, the Classic Car show, a fashion show that shows off the actual wares of the vendors on site, roller derby, The Dirt Track, burlesque ladies, some of the best genre bands in the city, bars, food vendors, pony rides for the children – it’s a day out for the whole family!

At last years DRTB Festival

I’m one of the judges for the Miss Bombshell Betty Pageant and I cannot wait to see the girls, the clothes, the make-up, the hair and of course, the attitude!

Maria and Zigi are the festivals creators and they are amazing! Whenever I am around them I feel energised and excited! I also feel transported into an era that is exciting and full of possibility. I’m unbelievably intrigued by this, aren’t you?
