Christmas at The Jones’

Christmas Parties are always special and fun. This year we had the Secret Santa party at Ismini and Dean Jones.

As much as I would love to have a white Christmas again, I really do love that our Christmas’ are in Summer.

Ismini and Dean decorated the table outside and it was the perfect warm night for it.

Ismini even made each girl an Angel with our names on it and they served as place tags. Just beautiful and sentimental.

The food was exceptional and they really outdid themselves. Starters were a selection of breads, cheeses, parma ham and other cold meats, olives and dips.

Main was Paella and prawns. I am so sad that I can no longer eat my beloved prawns. I have a terrible allergy to them and it’s only recent so I was beyond bummed. BUT… I just had more of the starters. Too delicious for words.

Dessert was a selection of white and dark chocolate brownies. The best brownies I have ever tasted.

We had all brought a Secret Santa gift for a couple and also a gift for a little boy and a gift for a little girl. These children’s gifts will be taken to the Joburg Gen Hospital. It’s important these little kids feel special over Christmas, even if they are lying in a hospital bed.

Greg and I got utterly spoiled by Ismini and Dean with such thoughtful gifts that really suited us. Greg received a Bear Grylls (Ultimate Survivor) multi tool kit and I received the Annie Leibovitz book (perfect for my photography.)

Thank you to Ismini and Dean for being the best hosts, for cooking up a delicious storm and for the amazing time we had with all our friends.

I really am blessed to be surrounded by such beautiful souls – inside and out.
