I can honestly say I had one of the best birthdays yet!
I don’t need reminders on how blessed I am to have the people I do in my life, but boy oh boy, every person outdid themselves. I am so grateful for the family and friends in my life. I’m so grateful to you who read my blog and those who left the kindest messages for me on my blog, on twitter and on facebook.
My family spoilt me with such beautiful gifts I cried. I then went to fetch my boyfriend from the airport who had flown in especially and as if that weren’t present enough, I got spoilt even more.
My mom and dad arranged for this spectacular carrot and pineapple cake to be made – it was so delicious!
Instead of having a huge party, I decided I’d rather have an intimate dinner. I really do wish I could have invited every one who is so special to me, but it just wasn’t possible.
Just before we were about to leave for the dinner, a beautiful Johannesburg afternoon thunderstorm poured down and left a gorgeous double rainbow to marvel at. I’m a huge believer in the energy of rainbows and their symbolism. I’ve always believed they show how everything is going to be OK, no matter what.
I’m so thankful to have had that on my birthday.
It also made the afternoon light all pink and orange and just so you know, none of my photo’s have been edited … How are these colours?

Hold it… And…
What can I say? I have special friends!
It wasn’t just my birthday… it was also my “twins” birthday! Morgan and I met at University on our 18th birthdays. We both discovered we shared a birthday and we’ve been friends ever since! I like to think we turned 18 again, with 12 years experience! Happy Birthday my twinnage – I’m so glad we got to celebrate our birthdays together!

Like I said… So special
Thank you to everyone who made my day so wonderful. Little Miss Sunshine could have positively burst with happiness!
