November. 57 days to go until 2017. How crazy?
Today is Thursday, which means it’s time for a Thankful Thursday post. I’m going to combine it with a Life Lately post, because I’m pretty thankful for what has been happening lately.
My Mom in law, Dimitra, returned from her extended holiday in Greece. It was so good for her to be there, see her family and friends and heal after George’s passing. I’m really happy she is back though. We missed her. I’m really thankful that I have such an amazing mother in law. We get on so well, we often ‘gang up’ on Sox together (haha) and she is just wonderful.
2 weekends ago, we took a walk to Jarryd’s in Sea Point for breakfast. We ordered coffees, a LCHF banana bread with espresso butter to share amongst the 3 of us and our own breakfast choice. I chose the smashed avo on Banting toast with a poached egg. After brunch, we took a walk along the promenade back home to breathe in the fresh salty air.
We left Sox at home to watch the soccer and I took Dimitra to have a manicure with me at Fox Box.
This past weekend I headed up to Johannesburg. I am so thankful I got to see my family, including my sister and Ross who are visiting for a few days from London.
I also got to spend the day with my bestie, Karolina and Godson, Gabriel. How grateful I am to have them in my life. The distance hasn’t done anything but make our bond even stronger! We caught up the whole day and then later that evening we did Trick or Treat with G. It was so cute!On Sunday, one of my best friends Lucia and Tomislav got married. They had a celebration of love, life and health, after everything they’ve gone through together. The day was PERFECT, and boiling hot at 38 degrees.
This photo makes me look cool, calm and collected. I wasn’t. I was a sweaty mess.
After the beautiful church service, we all headed to Monaghan farm for the most incredible setting under the trees and fairy lights.
The cheese and meat board was absolutely incredible…
I am just so thankful that Sox and I got to witness 2 of our amazing friends get married. Lucia’s been given the all clear in her health and the twin babies are on the way! What a celebration of Love, Health and Life.
I don’t know about you, but this year has been a year of high highs and low lows. Death, birth, love, loss. I’m just thankful for the rainbows in the rain.
