The best thing about birthdays is that the celebrations get extended over a few days! On Saturday morning, 2 of my great friends Kim and Lisa took me for breakfast! Little Sloane, Sox’s Goddaughter enjoyed her breakfast and babyccino’s and we enjoyed our own breakfasts. We ordered the Going Greek – poached eggs with spinach and mushrooms – it was quite dry, so ask for sauce!
It was just such a lovely, relaxing morning spending time with some of my favourite girls! The best nights are those that are spontaneous! That evening, my awesome friend Laura, picked me up and we headed out. We didn’t know what we felt like doing, so we decided in the car. We headed to the Ambassador for a sundowners. They were having a private function in the restaurant area, but we were told we could go down to the pool area for drinks. We happened to discover Silent Sunsets. We both looked at each other, shrugged and decided to give it a bash.
Silent Sunsets doesn’t mean you sit in silence watching the sun go to bed. You get a pair of wireless headphones that is connected to a live DJ. You get to listen to the music and still chat to your mates. It’s bloody clever for areas who might have noise restrictions.
We grabbed drinks, a deck chair and chatted/listened to music and watched the sunset.
I have absolutely NO idea what I was doing. I really hope that wasn’t a dance move. Awkward.
Let me know if you notice anything funny in the pics below. Haha!
After the sun had been put to bed, we headed off for dinner. Laura told me about a new restaurant she had heard about, but hadn’t tried yet! It’s an Argentinian Restaurant called Don Armando.
It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while! We ordered a delicious table salad, steaks cooked to perfection and sweet potato fries (a bit of a cheat.)
It was such a fun night and I absolutely loved all the laughter!

Sparkling water with fresh lime, mint and a spectacular view
We are taking these stolen moments in the chaos of wedding planning. It’s crunch time now and I can’t get over all the little (and big) things that still need to be done! Eeek!
Today I go for another wedding dress fitting with Hendrik Vermeulen and I cannot wait to see the advancements! It’s surreal!
