I got to “meet” Kirsten Goss for the first time when I did a telephonic radio interview on my 2Oceansvibe Radio show. She was this bubbly, warm, husky voiced woman on the phone who spoke with such passion about her jewellery.
We met officially in 2014 at the Bokeh Fashion Film Festival and putting a face to the voice was exactly what I thought it would be and more. This wonderfully confident woman is just effortlessly chic… but then again, wouldn’t you expect this from her jewellery designs?
When I was invited to attend a morning at her store on Bree street, I didn’t have to think about it. I cleared my schedule and headed off in the icy cold wind. Oh and side note – braiding my hair was a smart idea to keep it out of my face in this wind.
The bright yellow door was whisked open and Kirsten herself, greeted me with a warm hug and a cup of coffee.
She also told me I looked just like Drew Barrymore… I’ve never heard that before, but I’ll definitely take it!
She welcomed us and spoke about her jewellery journey. The diamond condition range is being launched and it is gorgeous.
I absolutely adore the Get Personal range too. Your name can be hand stamped into the white gold, yellow gold or rose gold. It’s not engraved… each letter is individually stamped, equally spaced… It’s a complete labour of love.
We got to explore the displays and I fell in love with it all.
Outfit: Skull scarf from Jay Jays, black leather jacket from Traffic, grey camera top from Forever 21, leather leggings from Top Shop and booties from Cotton On.
Kirsten explained that each of us were going to get a Get Personal Pinny necklace and I am so incredibly grateful!
They’re also given me great ideas for a bridesmaid gift. #justsaying.
I haven’t taken it off since… My white gold “BAILEY” pinny necklace.
Thank you so much for the generosity and for such a wonderful morning!
