When You Don’t Have Time to Cook

This time of year is one of my favourites, but it also is one of my busiest. Year end means deadlines, unexpected, last minute requirements from clients and Christmas parties.

It’s also really difficult to stay healthy at this time of the year. Christmas parties = cocktail foods = unhealthy. One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was to never go to a party hungry. I’m not talking about a dinner party, of course… I’m talking about those parties where there are drinks and snacks. Those snacks are fattening and sugary.

Who has time to cook before an event though? This is where RAW Nutrition has been incredible. I’ve written about them before here, when I introduced you. Today, though, I have to share how this has worked so well for me when it’s come to not overeating at parties.

RAW Nutrition make ready cooked meals. They’re not frozen, which means they’re incredibly fresh. As I follow the Banting LCHF lifestyle, I love that they cook me Banting meals that are genuinely Banting – not just on the Banting bandwagon and putting in hidden ingredients.

They get delivered straight to my office, so I can either have them for lunch, or keep them for dinner. I love that I can heat them up (except if they’re salads, of course.) I fill up on healthy, fresh ingredients and don’t have the need to pig out on the sausage rolls and deep fried spring rolls on display at most events.

My best is the Lasagne – made with Zucchini. I could eat this day in and day out!

They don’t just cater for Banters. They have breakfasts, Paleo meals, meals for Elite Athletes, meals for families, and meals for individuals (I know I hated cooking for one, so this is amazing for singletons and when partners are away.)

    Ive also taken to ordering cooked meals a few times a week now, and it makes a world of difference. Just helps one cope with this time of year.
    PS: That lasagne looks divine!
