When I was a little girl, I remember seeing a pregnant woman and staring at her rounded belly. “That’s what happens when you swallow watermelon seeds… you grow a watermelon in your tummy!” my Mom told me and I’ve never swallowed watermelon seeds since.
It always stuck, so now that my belly is round and soccer ball like, I knew I had to make a tee shirt with that phrase!
It’s received such a great response when I wear it and I find strangers smiling, which is really nice in our crazy country at the moment. I’ve even had people asking where I got it, so if there’s enough interest I’ll make them up! Who knows, I could start a range of tees called Bailey’s Bumps! Haha! Would you get one? I think they’d make amazing gifts for Moms-to-be.
If I’m not in maternity dresses, or leggings, I’m in my Freddy maternity jeans (thank goodness for the stretchy tummy band, so it expands as I do) and tees with light weight jackets for the chillier, Autumn days. I haven’t had a normal cup of coffee in 7 months. I’ve cut my tea drinking (sob) down to 2 cups a day and when I feel like coffee, I order decaf. I tried Rooibos, I really did and I was diligent in my first trimester, but I just grew not to like it. I can have a red cappuccino every now and then, but it’s not the same as my beloved Vanilla and normal tea. I know some coffee snobs are going to gasp at this, but I don’t really taste the difference and I like that I haven’t needed to reply on caffeine. I think I might continue on my decaf coffee even once I can start drinking caffeine properly again.
I love teaming my gold Komono Winston Royale watch up with military green/khaki. There’s something about gold and that colour green that makes it look complete. Oh and it’s on SALE!

Oh this is so cute, huge congrats on the pregnancy. I absolutely enjoyed every minute of my pregnancy. My lil boy is here and I still find myself rubbing my belly hahaha. Savour every moment of it.
April 12, 2017 at 3:45 pmJust on the decaff coffee thing: I also tried but failed at drinking rooibos during my pregnancy, but drank decaff coffee. Loved it and didn’t need the caffeine and I too could not tell the difference. So now I drink caffeine in the morning, and decaff at night. Love the shirt, it even made my hubby laugh.
