Catch Up

I’m baaack! Wow – the last week has been a roller coaster! Sorry for my lack of posts.

In a nutshell… This has been happening…

Last Saturday, I had the Legacy Lifestyle High Tea at the majestic Michelangelo Hotel in Sandton.  5 of the Legacy Lifestyle brand ambassadors, namely – Sureshnie Rider, Boity, Dineo Moeketsi, Fix Moeti and myself ran a competition for ladies and their friends to join us as our guests at the high tea.

I had the lovely Taryn Treisman and her friend Samantha Waterstone join me and we got on like a house on fire. It was awesome.

I absolutely indulged in the decadence and washed it all down with tea. Happiness. Thank you so much for Legacy Lifestyle, Michelangelo, Glamour magazine, Shed Marketing and 4Elements Media for an incredible girly afternoon. I loved it.

On Sunday,  my very good friend, Top Billing’s Simba Mhere and I hosted the Prism Awards. These awards are like the PR industries Oscars.

We arrived at The Hilton Hotel, Sandton for a quick run through and then quickly got ready for the official award ceremony.

I love working with Simba. We have a fantastic energetic synergy and we always make each other laugh on stage.

The awards were pretty strict. Even though there were a lot of entries, the judges had strict instructions that if the presentation of the entries weren’t up to scratch etc, no awards were to be given. Heavy!

It made it pretty awkward for us to read through all the nominees and then say: “There are no awards” or “There is no Gold award.”

Still… it was an amazing evening and well done to those who did win.

On Monday morning, mom and I packed the car and headed on our journey… We were heading to Cape Town. It’s the first time I’ve ever driven to Cape Town and the 15/16 hour journey opposed to a 2 hour flight is quite something.

I actually really enjoyed the trip and we broke it up over 2 days.

On Monday night we arrived in the Karoo, where we stayed at this gorgeous little farm – The Kuilfontein Stable Cottages.

I have written about it on my column for Zalebs, so instead of repeating it here. You can read about it here.

On Tuesday morning, we set off for Cape Town and arrived at 16h30. The weather has been showing off here. Mom and I have been having such adventures… I’ll tell you more tomorrow.

This is the first photo of the mountain taken as it came into view…
