I went through the first part of lockdown hardly shopping at all and realising that I actually need very little. My essentials list is small. However, as lockdown extended, I found myself doing online retail therapy. Oops.
I don’t regret a single buy though and I thought I’d share what I’ve recently bought (none of this is sponsored.)
Cotton On seem to be printing money at the moment with their Body range. Being at home more, and with Winter arriving, their comfy items have been too good to pass up. I’ve been influenced by friends on social media and bought some items, online. It was when I had to return the items because the sizing wasn’t right (I’m in between sizes at the moment), that I went into store and found some other gems.
I’ve bought the super soft tracksuit pants in this grey and blue.
The high waisted leggings and the fleece lined leggings (not photographed)Archy jerseys…A white hoody (which feels brave with a toddler and baby)…Here it is with the super soft blue track pants.
I’ve been looking for a peak cap in this soft khaki colour for ages. It’s hard to find one in this colour that doesn’t make you look like a Game Ranger. The embroidery on the back makes me really happy too.
I got this flannel sleep shirt in the medium, but I drown in it. I was going to return it for a Small, but I actually love it being so oversized and find it very warm and comfy to sleep in.
I was introduced to a local brand called Me and B and I could honestly buy everything in their online store. I reigned myself in and bought:
The Squiggly Utility Shirt The Graphic Sweat Top
I shared an IGTV video about 5 ways to cover your hair roots, as we’ve not been able to visit hair salons… Watch here:
I needed black and navy Alice bands, which could be versatile with whatever I was wearing. I got these from Barethreads, which is a local accessories label! Swoon!
Another local brand who does beautiful jewellery is by Cara. I bought these ear cuffs, ring and coin Y-chain.
I also brought home a new plant baby from LandsCape Art Nursery… I’ve wanted one of these Snake plants for ages. I found out they also have 2 other names: Mother in Laws Tongue and St. George’s Sword!
I’ve really been wanting to incorporate Collagen into my life, but I’ve found that some of the collagen powders I’ve tried, do have a taste and a smell that I really don’t like. A friend of mine, Chelsea, told me about The Harvest Table and even gave me a little sample of hers to test out in my coffee before committing to buying. It was a great moment when I enjoyed a cup of coffee with 2 heaped tablespoons and it really had NO taste/smell! My other Insta-friend, Shan Fourie had a discount code, which I used on the purchase!
You can also purchase it here – Click! It’s well worth it and in just 1 week of taking it daily, I’ve noticed a difference in my hair and skin!
