Today is a typical Cape Town winter day – it’s cold, windy and there is side ways rain! It’s great, when you’re indoors, snuggled up under a mountain of duvets with hot chocolate or tea. It’s not so great when your alarm clock is ringing at 4am, the wind is howling and you do not want to expose your toes from your warm bed.

There is only one way to do it and that’s to do it fast. Do not press snooze, swing your legs out quickly, feel the icy floor barefoot and scramble into warm clothes as fast as possible.

I’ve been filling in as guest presenter on The Expresso Morning show, which has been so much fun – despite the Wintery mornings! More, more, more please!!

I am LOVING my radio show with Maurice Carpede on the Smile Drive on Smile 90.4 FM. Look how hard I’m concentrating… Haha! Sometimes the stories I find online are just riveting!

Let’s go back a bit…

I went to my happy place – Scar Hair where Brittny glossed my roots. I caught up with the international magazines and enjoyed Rooibos and Vanilla tea – not the biggest fan of Rooibos, but this was delicious!

On Thursday I headed over to Sorbet for a Power Mani… There is something absolutely magical about having your hands exfoliated with sugar scrub and then massaged with a thick, rich cream! Bliss!

I’ve never had black nails before… I’ve just always thought they were too goth – I know! Silly me! I love it for Winter! Mary used the Morgan Taylor Black, but I’m sad I forgot to get the name!

That evening I MC’d the Langaro Wellness 2nd Birthday party! What fun! I got to give away prizes, sip on champagne, eat my weight in cheese (I’m so happy when there is a cheese and wine platter at parties!) and I got to meet the lovely Kate Ferguson and her awesome hubby, who won this prize! You guys were just the best… you’ll have to please send me the pic you took!

On Friday night, we celebrated a friends 40th birthday party! Drinks, dancing and Greek plate smashing fun!

I still can’t believe I get to marry this man…  On Saturday I crashed. I was so tired from a non stop week that I did not MOVE … OK, I did. I moved from my bed to the couch and between the couch and the kitchen.

I needed that day of recharge because on Sunday I absolutely LOVED meeting up with my friend, Tam. She brought take away coffee and we went for a promenade walk in the moody weather!

I worked up quite the appetite and headed off to Tasha’s with some friends for lunch. Their Zucchini pasta is on the pricey side, but it does come with a good sized portion of salmon and it’s utterly delicious!

On Sunday night it was an early night for me with another 4am start on Monday morning.

I think Caitlyn (no K) Jenner is absolutely beautiful!! What a brave, powerful, incredible time and even though I do battle to wrap my head around it.. who am I to judge it or it even have it be about my grasping it? I hope that people are respectful, compassionate and kind. Perhaps this is a big world lesson.
