26 February 2013:
Today is our final day and we don’t want to leave this Paradise, but we plan to make the most of Long Beach Resort. We have the day to really enjoy Long Beach, so we started off at breakfast, which is always amazing and fresh…
As soon as we wrapped up breakfast, we headed down to the beach…

We ordered Strawberry Daiquiri’s… as you do!
The water sports are so much fun and we were never bored. Snorkelling, glass bottom boating, paddle boating, wind surfing and even parasailing… Heaven!
We took a break from the sun and yet again, I couldn’t help myself in taking more photographs of Long Beach Resort … It is just magnificent.

Lunch was at Chopsticks and we shared the sticky sweet and sour chicken:
We were treated to the Sea Spa for a Press Trip 30 minute massage and it was pure bliss. Out of all the spa’s we saw on our trip, I have to say I prefer Long Beaches… My personal feeling on this, is because it’s secluded and it’s unique … The other spas, as beautiful as they are, could be anywhere in the world… When I walked into the Sea Spa, I felt like it was special to Mauritius.

On our way back, we decided to take a last walk along the beach even though the wind had picked up and the grey clouds were rolling in.
We got back to our hotel rooms, showered and got ready for our last dinner at the very impressive Hasu restaurant. It’s the finest Japanese restaurant on the island and has a 2 Star Michelin rating.
We were treated to the very impressive Tasting Menu of 6 small dishes.
All the dishes were absolutely incredible and you could taste that the flavours and ingredients were put together with great skill and most importantly – LOVE!
The Chef came out afterwards with a very special treat of home made Italian chocolates on a map to showcase where the flavours come from. Phenomenal.

What an amazing way to end of our Press Trip! After dinner, we went to check out and arrange a wake up call, as we are being collected at 05:30 (03:30 SA Time) and going to the airport.
Our 4 hour flight leaves Mauritius at 09:30 and we land in SA at 11:30 – so we gain our 2 hours back! It’s very funny!
