When I saw that The Voice reality show was coming to South Africa, I was really excited! I was thrilled to see the giant chairs that spin around when they push the “I Want You” button and the mentors, Kahn Morbee, Lira, Karen Zoid and Bobby van Jaarsveld have been as entertaining as the talent themselves.

It’s been a great show to watch and Truworths recently announced that they’ve collaborated with M-Net’s The Voice SA as the fashion sponsor to style the talent and coaches. Great choice!

Truworths has created an exciting series of TV ads to announce their involvement with the show. The new ads have been described as: “inspiring, edgy and fresh – filled with bohemian wanderlust, rock chic and the hottest fashion forward looks.” 

I would describe them as little fashion films and you all know how much I love fashion films! Watch…

I created my own Truworths OOTD and decided to go for a Rock Chic look, channeling my inner Karen Zoid! I love playing with fashion and the best part is changing things up between being really feminine to sport luxe to Tom Boy and everything else in between.

I chose a military green shirt with an interesting long tail detail to the right. The fabric is so soft and even though it crinkles, it lends itself to the rocker look.

The pants are so comfortable I just know I’ll be living in them this Winter. They’re stretchy and I love the gold button and zipper details. You can team them up with boots, black heels or even sneakers.

I finished the look with double buckle black ankle boots and braided my hair to bring in a little femininity to the look.
