Introducing: JAR (Just About Refills)

There’s a massive rise in sustainable living and eco-friendly products and every small change can make a big difference.

I often think I should be doing more, but doing something is better than doing nothing and where I can make a healthier, more sustainable decision, I’m doing my best to do that.

Just About Refills (J.A.R for short) is a new online eco-store for all your pantry & lifestyle needs. J.A.R was born with the desire to bring the 1st Zero-Waste concept store to the Lowveld for the environmentally conscious consumer.  Their mission is to provide quality products with an affordable, simple, convenient & plastic-free shopping experience. They aim to encourage & highlight the importance of sustainable living through responsible everyday purchases.

They have a wonderful website and I could pour over it for hours looking at different products and educating myself on what is available.

A box arrived with goodies for the whole family and it was exciting to find brown paper packages tied up with strings. Did you get the Julie Andrew’s reference? 🙂

I really appreciate their attention to detail and we received the most wonderful items, perfect for our impending move to Greece.

Let me begin with my boys (and save mine for last, which in my humble opinion is the best.)

George:

These Stasher Bags are plastic free reusable storage bags that you can even cook in. Incredible.

Woo Bamboo ToothBrushes:

Bamboo Plasters with Aloe Vera, especially for burns and blisters.

Alexi:  Woo Bamboo Kids Toothbrushes

A Stasher bag with his name on it.

Sox:

Woo Bamboo Biodegradable Silk Floss:

Woo Bamboo Toothbrush:

Earthly Toothbits – which are basically toothpaste in pill form. These are going to be brilliant to pack into our hand luggage for the flight. You basically pop one into your mouth, chew it and then use your toothbrush to brush. No mess, no fuss.

Bailey:

I’ve been looking for reusable cotton pads because the amount of facial wipes and cotton pads I go through to take make-up off and to use for toner, seems extremely wasteful. When I saw JAR offering Msulwa Reusable Cotton Pads I was thrilled.

Love the Rusk Jar… and you can either refill this with rusks again, or with something else!

They’re a new company and I really love what they’re trying to achieve, so check out their website: https://justaboutrefills.co.za/ and give their Instagram page a follow too: www.instagram.com/just_about_refills/
