Emoji Dress

When Sox and I went to London last year, we were shell shocked with the amount of walking we did and it actually put a spotlight on how little we do back home. Living in Sea Point we are so lucky to be able to walk a lot more than some other areas. We don’t always take advantage of that and I often catch myself in old habits – like driving 800 meters down the road to get to gym (the irony.)

Sox and I took a walk to one of our favourite breakfast spots the other day and as we walked along Sea Point main road, we took in so many more sights. Things that usually whizz by me in a car. I saw a store, called Catwalk International, that had an emoji denim dress on the mannequin and knew I had to have it… Luckily it was one size fits all and is actually too big, which I was happy about as the bump grows.

Tegan Smith and I had such fun shooting this in town on Tuesday.

I forgot a clip to clamp the back of the dress. We just happened to be shooting in a street that had a little barber shop. I went in and asked if they had a clip we could borrow. We were in luck. It kind of worked in clamping the dress… Can you see it there… I do think I’m going to need to tailor it a bit though.

These Adidas Sneakers are just the coolest. Do you remember paint by numbers?

It takes a lot not to grab a sharpie and colour them in 😉

I hope you have a wonderful weekend

Love the dress! Silly question but are the sneakers meants to be coloured in??? The reason I ask is becaue in December, I found a pair of takkies online which I wanted to buy for my son which kids are able to colour in. I didn’t end up buying them but I thought they were really cool! Are these not the same in line with the adult colouring book etc.

Hey Jodie… No these Adidas ones definitely aren’t meant to be coloured in, but I guess there are no rules. I know there are kids shoes that you can like the pair you found. 😉

How much fun! Too feel young and free. The emoji print is adorable and those shoes are so funky – did you buy them in London?

Hey Suzi.. I actually got them here from the Adidas Originals store. The irony is that sneakers in London are double the price, but other things were much cheaper! Go figure!
