Today is my final radio show for 2011. The Afternoon Drive of The Baldy and Bailz show is officially on holiday until the 3rd of January 2012.

I haven’t had time off like this since I was in High School. I have no going away plans (we have just come back from Mauritius after all) and to be honest I adore Johannesburg in December. The roads are quiet and it’s calmer as everyone leaves for the coast.

What a year it has been. I have been blessed to work with the most amazing team and I learn every single day from some of the BEST in the business.

Mark Pilgrim, Derek Alberts, Lebogang Nthathe are such fun to work with. So is our other part of the team (who fill in on the show: Cindy Poluta, Marc Lewis, Benita Levin.) We’re not just colleagues, we’re friends. We care about each other, we make each other laugh, we support each other and we encourage one another. It’s special and unique and I’m unbelievably grateful. I come into work every day excited and looking forward to the show.

Thank you guys for being nothing but spectacular on and off air.
