You know I love stories… Everything and everyone has a story and I am always fascinated to hear them, just as much as I love to tell a good story.
Miss Friday is a brand that is 6 years old, created by great friends, Lindsey and Dorian. They were at school together, studied fashion design together, they worked together as designer/merchandisers and then decided to start their own business.
They decided on the name Miss Friday, because they love that the “Miss” represents the femininity of their styles and the “Friday” represents the weekend – needing a new outfit for that party or special date night. They love when a woman wears the right outfit that not only fits her well, is made well from quality fabrics, but also shows off her own style, giving her confidence and making her smile.
All their clothing is made locally (hooray!) and this is something they are very proud of as it promotes jobs in our country.
They have a group of amazing ladies who sew for them and as their business grows, so does the number of ladies.
You will find Miss Friday in 14 of the YDE stores and will be going into 2 more stores at the end of July when they launch the new Summer range.
I’m excited to hear the Summer range is coming out, because that means we are closer to Summer, but the idea of summer clothes right now, makes me go: Brrrrrr!
How happy I am to have this coat in my Winter wardrobe! It’s snug, warm and wraps me up like a hug.
It’s called the Jaclyn coat and it doesn’t just come in grey, it also comes in black.
I teamed it up with some leather leggings, a t-shirt (it was a mild day when Tegan and I shot the pics), but with this icy weather, I’ve been wearing thicker jerseys underneath it too.
My Mom and Dad visited Peru a little while ago, and returned with a few gifts. One of them was this pair of sneakers. They feel like I’m walking on clouds and I just love the fabric, which gives a pop of colour.
Outfit details: Jaclyn Jacket // Glasses t-shirt // Leather leggings // Prada Sunglasses // Hightop sneakers – from Peru, a gift from my parents.
The jacket will return to stores mid July, but in the meantime YDE is having a sale from Wednesday and Miss Friday have some beautiful pieces just waiting for a good home in your wardrobe.
PS. It’s freezing here in Cape Town, there is even talk of snow on top of Table Mountain, so keep wrap up warm and have a great weekend!
