Women’s Lifestyle Expo 2014

I need a good girls night out every now and then. It’s important to have girly time, to indulge in pamper time and just to regroup.

The Women’s Lifestyle Expo was the first of it’s kind and it ran last Friday – Sunday. There were such interesting stands with everything from fashion to empowering yourself. It was set up at The Lookout by the V&A Waterfront. What I loved about the stands was there wasn’t one that wasn’t an incredible brand and every girl could discover and learn something new about enriching their lives from beauty products to inner health.

A few of us were invited to an overnight stay at the gorgeous Fire and Ice Hotel, CT for a Pamper and Champers night.

I am so grateful for this experience and it was exactly what I needed.

The Fox Box is a mobile nail bar that comes to you. They set up a mani and pedi station and treated us to manicures and pedicures.

I choose the Vinylux Decadence – a rich, deep maroon red for my hands and Svelte Suede – an earthy nude colour for my toes.

May loving life…

Larry Soffer, a magician/mentalist, came to entertain us with some incredible magic tricks. My mind was blown with unbelievable stuff like making Fran’s wedding ring levitate, making a 50c coin stand upright in my hand without touching me and guessing people’s numbers and names. Fascinating!

After a wonderful night of champagne, snacks, pampering and lots of girly catch ups, I headed to my gorgeous room.

Personalised Letters with Little Miss Sunshine are so appreciated!

On the bed, we were spoiled even more with beautiful gifts. One of them was a set of Poppy Divine PJ’s. I LOVE LOVE LOVE PJ’s and these are so comfortable and cute.

Pretty details

I slept so well and those hotel beds are so incredibly comfortable that I nearly didn’t get out of bed. I eventually did, boiled the kettle for tea in bed, opened the curtains to discover this magnificent view…

Sent boyfriend a: Wish you were Here message and photo and then got ready for the Media Breakfast at the Women’s Lifestyle Expo…

OOTD: Sandals from Zoom, Jeans from True Religion, Black camisole from Edgars and Watermelon light jacket from Cotton On.

Fran and I headed out to the Lookout for the breakfast, put on by the Real Meal Revolution and Banting. I have been doing this lifestyle since the 25 February and had amazing results so far… Blog post coming soon.

I was so excited to listen to a talk by Dietician, Sally Ann Creed and the other authors of the book: Jonno Proudfoot and David Grier.
