On Tuesday morning, I woke up to the sound of pouring rain. Ordinarily this weather would have me wishing for a day in bed, but I was too excited for that.

The cold, grey, rainy day was actually the perfect setting for a London cab to collect me and take me on a little adventure.

Cutting through the grey, this pink Sunglass Hut London Cab arrived and out came a cab driver, complete with his chauffeur hat and an open black umbrella. He helped me into the cab and I was firstly amazed at how spacious it is inside and secondly so excited to see the Union Jack flags and pillows everywhere. Waiting for me on the seat was a gorgeous gift…

A union jack teabag dish, the London Cuppa tea bags, Walkers shortbread, a punk-kick-ass-don’t-mess-with-me clutch bag and a Sunglass Hut travel holder.

We drove through Cape Town to Canal Walk.

This cab certainly commands attention and I saw several people rubbernecking to look as we whizzed by.

I felt an urge to do the royal wave.

I didn’t.

We arrived at Canal Walk and I went straight to the Sunglass Hut store. Sunglass Hut is the official sponsor of London Fashion Week and it’s also the launch of their new campaign: Punk it Up – Unexpected expressions of innocence and individuality get a PUNK edge in a fashion forward play on constant contradiction.

The very first pair that caught my eye were the brand new Pradas. They’re so different and when I put them on I fell instantly in love. (On the right)

I also loved the chunky, aviator Prada’s too (On the left)

I tried on so many pairs, but I kept going back to the new Prada’s and knew they had to come home with me.

After some shopping, a cappuccino and a stroll around Canal Walk, I called the cab driver to collect me again.

I forgot to tell you… Sunglass Hut had installed a social printer into the cab, so I was able to snap, share and print my pics whilst in the cab.

Nothing like a quick little snooze on the backseat. Shopped til I dropped!

 Just kidding!

The London cab was all mine for the rest of the day, so it took me to my afternoon drive show on Smile 90.4 FM and fetched me afterwards to take me home. What a treat!

I had such a good time! Thank you so much Sunglass Hut, I loved every minute!
