Traveling is one of the most amazing things you can do for your soul, your perspective and your character. I’ve always maintained that travel is the university of life. “Travel” itself doesn’t have to be defined one way: person traveling to new place; it can also be items traveling and when this happens there is always a story.
You know I love a good story!
Today we are going to Positano, Italy. Actually… Positano, Italy is coming to me.
Trendology is the new upmarket boutique in Somerset West, Cape Town. Liza Hollander, the owner, expertly hand-picks every item, and then imports only the most beautiful and oh-so-stylish clothing from top designers around the world.
La Bottega Di Brunella is a family owned business in Positano, Italy. They’ve created beautiful, organic linen and jersey clothing since 1965.
They love using Linen because it is fresh, light and elegant, and one of the most popular materials for the Positano Beachwear collections. Their clothing offers women light, natural and bright coloured garments, typical of summer the warm days and colour bursting sunsets of the Amalfi coast.I tried this Aqua horizontal striped linen tunic with the touches of gold on and I immediately felt transported to Positano.
I imagined myself in the most photogenic town, with vertigo houses tumbling down to the sea in a flow of sun-bleached peach, pink, aqua and terracotta colours. Women and men are beautifully, effortlessly dressed in the cool linens with their bronzed skins and dark coffees.
Tegan Smith and I took these photos on the Sea Point coastline, which has it’s own character.
Belt it or leave it. Add the gold Superga sneakers as I did, to pick up the touches of gold in the tunic. To make it even more summery, wear it with wedges or beautiful flat sandals. Layer necklaces or bangles.
Again, I love how versatile this is.
Trendology’s competition on their Facebook page closes TOMORROW, so hurry! They’re giving a lucky winner an intricately woven linen Kaftan from La Bottega di Brunella, Positano, Italy, so that you too can be be transported to one of the most picturesque places in the world. December 19, 2016 at 10:43 amBailey, just as you love a good story, we love reading your stories. Gorgeous colour combinations in the tunic. I usually do not like horizontal stripes, but they really work on this tunic, and it looks amazing on you. Thank you for sharing. Wishing I was sitting at an outdoor cafe in Positano right now.
