Life Lately

I’m a little behind in sharing my Life Lately post with you, so here is a jam packed bumper edition…

In Durban a few weeks ago I was filming for Expresso Show – here are some extra pics from my time there.

Screen shots taken from our inserts

I was thrilled there was a gym in our hotel and I ensured I worked out super early each morning before breakfast and filming… I’m dedicated to my 12 week challenge and I’ll be posting an update soon.

I also got to catch up with this beauty, Kirsty…

I always love working with Tatum on these shoots – she is a gem! Here I was post my surf lesson…Salt really is good for wavy beach hair.

Back in Cape Town, we have had some strange weather – the poor Mouille Point Lighthouse and fog horn has had a proper work out. I’ve heard it droning on for days and nights on end. I swear, Summer just doesn’t know whether it’s here to stay or not.

However, the fog eventually lifted and I feel like *don’t jinx it* Summer is here! Yippeeee! (Erm, disclaimer – this was written before the weather turned. AGAIN!)

After the 13,5km Impi Challenge I completed last Sunday, I felt broken. For 3 days I couldn’t really walk properly. Stairs were the devil and I walked around like a duck. Attractive.

I also happened to have these sexy bruises develop nicely on both my legs – they have gone blue, purple, green and yellow.

The nerd in me got excited about the new Apple software updates. I love the new look – very clean and fresh. Oh and for those who have the new iPhone 6, (ahem Karolina and Sox) I am green!

Let’s talk food now…

I’ve been cooking a lot and I love being in the kitchen. I’ve come up with different recipes and I can’t wait to share them all with you…

When I haven’t been cooking at home, I’ve been indulging in deliciousness. Here is a personalised coffee from BUC Fitness Club. I earned it after my gym sessions.

It was the Rugby Currie Cup Final at Newlands this past Saturday and Auto Atlantic MINI invited Sox and I to their box. The atmosphere was absolutely insane and when the Western Province beat the Lions, the stadium erupted!

It was so funny to see the scene unfold. I kept thinking of “Where’s Wally” but instead of the red and white stripes, it was the blue and white stripes.

Sunday was the most magnificent day in Cape Town. A day created for lying by the pool, having a delicious braai with our friends Alexi and Laura and playing and swimming with their gorgeous twins, George and Daniela.

I’ve been interviewing really fascinating people on my radio show on 2Oceansvibe radio. You can listen anywhere in the world as we are digital. My show is 12:00-14:00 every Monday – Thursday. Tune in here: www.2oceansviberadio.com

I interviewed Ethan Zohn – he won Survivor season 3 and the $1 million prize. He is in South Africa promoting www.grassroutesoccer.org.

I’ve been playing around with various colours…

Oh and in other news, the V&A Waterfront has all the Christmas decorations up and while they are beautiful I am absolutely horrified that we are at this time of the year. Again.

I feel like each year is flying, but the time period in which I’ve said: “Wow that year flew by!” is getting shorter and shorter!

Is there a pause button?
