Life Lately

I hope you all had a good long weekend.

Do you ever have a moment where all you want is to curl up on the couch and not move, but then you also feel guilty, like you shouldn’t be wasting time vegetating? I often have that battle.

The weather really lent itself to hibernating indoors on Saturday morning though, and I couldn’t bring myself to get off the couch and out from under my thick, warm, snuggly blanket.

I’m in love with the new Sexy Socks, made from Bamboo. I’ll be telling you about those this week. Of course, I had to have a pair of the pineapple ones.

On Saturday evening, I roasted some pumpkin seeds and raw almonds with smoked salt and we got biltong for the rugby: Stormers vs The Bulls.

On Sunday morning, the weather had improved and we headed out into the sunshine. Our first stop was to visit Sox’s Goddaughter, Sloane.

After that, we headed to Caprice for a coffee and I had to quickly get some work done.

Whilst Sox watched Manchester United, I headed to Canal Walk with Lisa for some shopping… can’t wait to show you what I bought.

Later that evening I headed to Cafe Caprice for their world famous Sunday nights! I had such a fun night dancing and laughing.

Look who is in Cape Town… Kirsty and Stevie

and Romy…

Sox and Barend with ice buckets on their heads. Obviously.

On Monday morning, Sox was so excited to collect his new car… Wishing you many happy kms in your new ride!

Look at this grin…

I was absolutely starving, so after a car ride, we headed to Tasha’s Waterfront for a meal in the sunshine with good friends…

It was then off to The Grand for some twin time! So good seeing Laura and her family

I do feel like I now need a break from the long weekend. At least it’s only a 3 day week! Hooray for public holidays!

PS. I have some super exciting news to share soon… So please check back again!

PPS. Thank you so much to Lucy and Moët & Chandon for the “Congratulations and well wishes” on our engagement.
