I am a natural blonde, but if I’m to be honest, it’s a dark blonde – mousy and boring. Thank goodness for highlights! The problem with that, is that it weakens and damages your hair and causes breakage. Blondes might have more fun, but they also have more maintenance with their locks.
It’s taken a while to get my hair into a good condition and now that it is, I ensure I look after it super duper well. I have my trusted shampoos and conditioners I use, but I love trying new products in case they wow my socks off.
Recently I was introduced to Matrix Total Results Hello Blondie shampoo and conditioner. I’ve also tried the So Silver Colour Obsessed Shampoo that neutralises the yellow and brass tones and corrects it.
Hello Blondie has chamomile in it and it softens, detangles, brightens your blonde and adds shine. Yes please!! Firstly, this is salon quality and it’s affordable. R99 for the shampoo and R120 for the conditioner is worth it for the results.
I love the packaging – each range has it’s own bright colour and of course, the Hello Blondie is a bright yellow and the So Silver – is silver (got you) silvery purple. The purple colour corrects the yellow – it’s art and science all rolled into one.Let’s talk about the So Silver shampoo. Don’t be afraid of it’s very dark purple appearance. This is what neutralises any brassy, yellow tones. It smells wonderful, lathers well and leaves your hair squeaky clean. You can follow up with any of the conditioners, but Hello Blondie, would obviously be ideal. As for the Hello Blondie shampoo and conditioner, it actually has a little purple colouration to it so this will also brighten up your blonde. It smells great and actually leaves your hair with a subtle scent – something I was complimented on.My hair has been really manageable and soft. There is far less frizz (especially when I just leave it to dry naturally) and I do think it looks brighter.Look out for the new Matrix Total Results range at your salon, or you can call 0861 105 948 to find out where the closest salon is to you.

May 3, 2016 at 11:12 amDo you find that the Hello Blondie or So silver helps more with brassiness? Do you use a combination of the products throughout the week?
