Easter 2015

On Easter morning, I woke up later than usual. We could hear the wind howling outside and the temperature had certainly dropped. Autumn is most definitely here. I wrapped myself warmly and padded into the kitchen to make fresh tea and a cappuccino for Sox. I toasted the fresh Banting Hot Cross Buns and we curled up to an Easter breakfast.

After a quick shower, we then headed out for a drive to the 1682 Bistro in Steenberg.

We arrived and headed straight for the bar whilst we waited for our table to be set and watched the dishes being plated.

We soon made our way to our table and settled in for a delicious lunch and Sauvignon Blanc.

I definitely admired the view…

We ordered the Pork and exchanged the potato rösti for the cauliflower puree.

On Monday, we headed to the Raad’s for a lamb on the spit, a few soccer games and lots of banter and laughter.

I hope you had an amazing Easter! I get to celebrate Easter all over again this weekend and my parents are arriving for their second visit! I can’t wait!
