As a little girl, I used to say, “Mom, I really need…” and she would reply with. “You need it or you want it?”
She was sneaky that way. I tried the whole “Mom, I just have to have it…” but she’d wink at me and say: “I see what you’re doing Bailey!” 😉
With Christmas around the corner, I’m sharing some of the new products that you just have to have on your Christmas Wish List.
Let’s begin with a brand new product called Mii.
Mii’s creation has been inspired by the wants and wishes of beauty spa and salon devotees, as well as a team of makeup artist and skincare experts. Mii is makeup that is all about you. Combining the finest ingredients, unrivalled expertise and effortless application, Mii offers something for everyone. The skin loving formulas include five different foundations, a 100% pure mineral line and an enticing selection of wearable shades for eyes, lips, cheeks and complexion; all complemented by sixteen tailor-made brushes, each created to bring you the most from your Mii makeup.
I love the packaging. It’s clean and fresh with it’s black, white and a touch of pink. I also love the cursive font.
This is the Celestial Skin Shimmer. On the box it claims that you’ll be the brightest star in a glistening galaxy. I love it. I think this will look beautiful on several different skin tones.
This is the Forever Eye Crayon in Rose Gold. You twist it and draw it on. Don’t press too hard – I did – thinking it was a hard crayon. It definitely isn’t. It is so soft and buttery, which was such a pleasant surprise. You can apply a little and blend for a light look, or apply a lot, for more of a deeper colour and shimmer. This is really beautiful and coppery.
You’ll be sweeping this on your face a few times over, just because it’s so soft and lovely. It’s the Perfect Finish brush. As it says on the box, it’s utterly versatile, which means this finish brush is all you need to look your best. You can choose whether you want to use it for blush, bronzer, powder… or all of the above – it’s versatile, remember?

Elizabeth Arden has new eyeliners and bold liquid lipsticks for you. Pop them into a pretty Ted Baker bag and that’s the perfect gift.
Let’s unpack it, shall we…
Let’s begin with the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Bold Liquid Lipstick. Flick the little black indented switch up a few times to get the liquid lipstick up into the applicator. It’s a dream to glide on.
These are the colours, starting from top to bottom: Fiery Red, Seductive Magenta and Passionate Peach. R295 each.
Now for the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Bold Defining 24HR Liquid Eye Liner. I’m still trying to master the winged eyeliner and I feel like these could aid me quite nicely. The brushes are so thin and precise and the right amount of colour comes out. The colours are Gilded Brown, which didn’t come out as nicely on my white table, as it would on your skin + Electric blue and Mystic Green.
Urban Decay has some of the prettiest packaging and when I unpacked my purple box of glory I was in awe…
Where to begin…
Let me start with the brush… besides the brushes I’ve experienced from the Naked Palettes, this is the first individual brush I’ve tried and it is AAAAH-MAZING! The Razor Sharp Long-wear Liquid Eyeliner is also incredible and I was surprised when I applied it ever so lightly to my hand… it’s gold! It was only then that I looked at the name: Goldrush! Guess, what I’ll be wearing for Christmas and New Years Parties! If you scroll up, you’ll see it on my hand next to the eye crayon. I applied it so lightly and it still shows up, so imagine when you apply it properly.
Liquid Moondust is just so pretty. Dab it on and blend. It’s Wow! This is the colour: Solstice. It’s also like a rose gold, but it has little blue glitter specks that pick up the light. It’s beautiful.
The Naked Illuminated Trio: It’s just so damn pretty I want to hug it. If you love the glow, without looking like a Christmas shiny decoration, you’ll love this.
Behold the Vice Lipstick palette…
Open it up and it has a protective piece…Lift it up and gasp…
I’m quite intrigued by Blackmail. I think it could look absolutely beautiful with a vampy look.
It comes with a lipstick brush, something I never use, but lately I’ve seen the difference between a professional lip and an amateur lip. Get into the habit!
