All together now! “It’s the most wonderful time of the yeaaarr!!”

While part of me cannot quite believe it’s Christmas (again)… wasn’t it Christmas 4 months ago? I am very excited about this time of the year and I’m even more excited because it’s George’s First Christmas.

Every year, some of my friends and I have our Secret Santa Party. Michaela and Johnny host it in their beautiful home. Dishes are allocated for each person to bring, catering for 18. There is always way too much food (which gets donated afterwards.)

I love this photo of their Christmas tree. It looks like that is a landscape painting above, but it is actually a window with the magnificent view of the 12 Apostle mountain range.

It was really special to have Georgie at his first Secret Santa Party. It’s hard to explain, but while it’s his first, it also feels like he’s always been a part of us. I guess I can’t remember what life was like before him. It feels unimaginable to not have him in our lives. Children really do make this time of year even more magical.

Let’s get into the food… it was an absolute feast!

Georgie went to sleep by the Christmas tree and was a little star (amidst all the music, laughter, chatter and Secret Santa gift handout, which always gets extra loud.)
