I’m writing this blog post at 22:52. I should be sleeping… but I can’t seem to, so instead of scrolling Instagram and flipping through the DSTV channels, I’m in my PJs with my laptop and a fresh blog post page.
I haven’t done a Life Lately post in so long, so I thought I’d share a bunch of moments over the last few months.
So much has been happening and if I thought last year flew by, this year feels like a blur. How is Easter over already? Didn’t we just say “Merry Christmas?”
This Sunday, the 15th of April, my baby boy will be 10 months. 10 months old. How? Surely I gave birth 4 months ago?! I cannot wrap my head around this. When I scroll back through my phones photos, I can’t believe how tiny he was and now he’s this +9kg baby who is pulling himself up on everything and just wants to explore!
Sofi, Sox’s older sister, arrived in South Africa to meet George for the first time and to celebrate his Christening (which I’ll be sharing in a separate blog post.) It was incredible to see the instant bond between her and George. It’s amazing how George instinctually knows who his family is. He’s a very happy boy who is happy to go to anyone, but he is different with family – there is more of a sense of security – like he knows they’re family and not just one of our friends.
We did some really fun things all together, like visit Ripley’s Believe It Or Not…
This painting is the worlds fastest painting – done in 57 seconds. Casual.
The biggest hand can hold a dozen eggs… Here is Sox’s hand in comparison. Crazy!
This painting is done entirely with nail polish…
Artwork of John Lennon done with 100s of tiny nails and wire…
Here’s a close up…
We celebrated my MIL, Dimitra’s Birthday at The Radisson Blu for breakfast… It was such a beautiful day, with a slight chill in the air making it extra fresh.
“Let me help you with your gifts, Yiayia!”
We enjoyed a special lunch with Georgina at The Greek Fisherman at the V&A Waterfront… I love the view and the food is delicious!
George is a baby fish… We started swimming lessons with him from the age of 5 months old. I can see my future is going to be this: “George, I’m giving you 2 minutes to get out the pool!” and having very little luck with that! He LOVES the water and cries every time we take him out the pool (and the bath.)
He is always exhausted afterwards…
I still can’t get over how lucky I am to have these 2 in my life… I thank God every day.
All my money now goes onto Georgie. Fact. However, I decided to treat myself. A friend of mine Katia, is one of the most stylish girls I know.. I adore her outfits and I went in search of the shoes and jacket she had recently purchased from Zara, for myself… That’s the great thing about friends – they’re the best type of “influencers” and since she is in JHB, I don’t need to worry about wearing it on the same day she is! Haha. Here are the shoes. I love them.
I have been juggling work and meetings, but I feel like I’m slowly getting the hang of it. Some days I feel like I nail it and other days I’m just glad there is wine.
Next week I am flying to Johannesburg to MC a Gala Dinner and have an exciting campaign shoot coming up too!
Have a wonderful Friday the 13th and a wonderful weekend
x
