I flew up to Johannesburg this past Friday night. Friday evening flights are always delayed. It’s so frustrating, but it’s better than waking up at dawn for the red eye flight and wasting a Saturday morning.

It was so good to be reunited with my Mom and Dad and my English Bulldog, Duke! We always have big love sessions and cuddles!

On Saturday morning, I went to meet Karolina, Filip and my Godson Gabriel! We spent the entire day together catching up over delicious meals and playing with little G! I adore him so much and my heart melts when he grabs my hand and says: “Come!”That evening, we organised a spontaneous dinner with some of my girlfriends Lucia, Katia, and Karolina. We all went on a girls trip to Croatia in 2010 and it’s been a while since we’ve been in the same room together. We shared Meze platters at Mythos, drank wine and laughed a lot!Sunday morning was a lazy one, laying around with Duke and taking photos of his cuteness, because I can’t help it. He, however, hates it and it takes about 30 shots to get just one. It’s like he knows… he moves his head, faces the other way. It’s actually quite funny.Eventually, it was time to head up for breakfast together. My Mom had set everything up and we sat in the sunshine to eat. Duke loves yoghurt… We finally got out of our pj’s, wrapped a baby gift for my cousin, Tammy’s baby boy Mason. He was another reason I flew up to JHB – I was so excited to meet the newest member of our family. He is 8 weeks old and adorable… even if he did cry when he was in my arms. If he is my cousins baby, what does that make him to me? My second cousin? Some have said nephew, but surely that’s not right? If anyone knows, I’d appreciate it.It was such a great trip, but far too quick!
