I was invited to attend the event called: Sensory Delectation to Ignite Your Curiosity by Nederburg.
I know it was to indulge our senses, but I was also treating it as a bit of a wine tasting exercise for our wedding!
We were welcomed and shown the new Nederburg advert. I made me think of a Fashion Film and I love how it’s shot!
You’ll be one of the first to see the advert, by watching it here:
We were told about the 8 sensory stations set up for us to enjoy in our own time and our own sequence and off we went to explore… The 8 stations were:
By the sea: Two Centuries Sauvignon Blanc with perfectly chilled, deliciously fresh oysters topped with trout roe pearls. In the vineyard: The Winemasters Riesling and DIY Waldorf Salad. In the orchard: 56Hundred Chenin Blanc accompanied by brûléed goat cheese, apricot and almond. At the fair: Delicate 2015 Rosé matched with beetroot tarte fine, raspberry and orange vinaigrette and fennel.
In the forest: The Nederburg Baronne accompanied by wild mushroom and truffle risotto balls dusted with biltong. At the bull fight: Ingenuity Spanish-style Nederburg red teamed with bruschetta topped with chorizo, green olive and smoked paprika mayo.
Rose garden afternoon: The Beautiful Lady with mini roosterkoek, blue cheese and rose preserve. In the beehive: The Winemasters Noble Late Harvest accompanied by apple and honey tartlet and vanilla crème fraîche.
Everything was paired absolutely perfectly and I’m really impressed with the range that will appeal to everyones palates. I can’t wait to have Nederburg bottles on ice at our wedding.
