I have 2 beauty products that I use every time I wear make up. They’re 2 products I’ve only recently added and now I can’t imagine my make-up bag without them.
When the hype of the Beauty Blender came out, I wasn’t sure if it was just because Beauty Bloggers were hyping it up (being paid to.) Since I’m a beauty junkie, I had to try it. When my hubby (fiance at the time) went overseas, I gave him a shopping list for Sephora. I already knew he was a keeper, but this cemented it. Kidding. Sort of.
When he returned I was so excited. I applied my foundation with it and was left wondering what the hype was. I didn’t get it. What was so special about it? I felt disappointed.
It was only when I watched a YouTube video and saw her wetting the beauty blender that I thought hang on!! That’s the trick. When I looked at the little container again, there were the instructions at the bottom. Blondie!! Lesson learned, always look for and read the instructions, no matter what!
Game changer.
It’s now a beauty product that I can’t live without and when I found out that Finnis & Faye brings them into the country, making them easily accessible, I was thrilled.
So what makes them so awesome?
They’re super plush and because it works best when wet, product doesn’t soak into the sponge. Instead it sits on the surface to be blended onto your skin. The egg shape makes it easy to apply, blend and reach those place like under your eyes and around your nose. The pink ones are the typical ones… They also have the black ones, red ones and now there are white ones. They’re dye-free making them excellent for those with sensitive skin. Having the white one also makes me want to keep it clean, which in turn has me cleaning my make up brushes more often, something I can be a bit naughty with.
Let me move onto the Primer. Bodyography has a range of Veil Foundation Primers that are by far my favourite. Once you’ve tried this Primer, you’ll never go back. It’s a foundation game changer.
My foundation stays all day long, it glides on, blends beautifully – especially if I’ve done any contouring.
What I particularly love about it is it’s Vegan friendly. It also contains anti-oxidants, vitamins A and E, Jojoba and Grape Seed oil. It’s anti-aging because it fills in fine lines and wrinkles, prevents collagen breakdown and gives the skin a silky smooth, long lasting, flawless base.
I use the Veil Clear, but I’m dying to try the Tahitian Glow, which I’ll get when this one runs out.

I’ve often wondered whether the beauty blender is actually all that and worth the money – glad to have an honest opinion for once 🙂
