One Year Wedding Anniversary

I am so sorry I haven’t regularly blogged this week. I’ve had my Mom visiting this week and I’ve been spending as much time with her as possible, before I leave her for my Afternoon show on Smile 90.4 FM

I’m about to redeem myself with a photo heavy post though…

Last Saturday, it was Sox and my One Year Wedding Anniversary. Gobsmacked as to how fast this year has flown by!

We decided to sleep in, while we can, and then go for a lazy breakfast/brunch at The Radisson Blu Hotel by the Waterfront. I love the views there, as it’s right on the ocean.

Select from an impressive buffet…

Look! I found one of my cravings – oranges! So hard with them being out of season, so I was thrilled.

Once you’re dished up, settle in right by the waters edge, breathe in the salty air and be prepared for some extra breakfast guests!

22 weeks pregnant 🙂That evening, Sox was DJing at the Verve Cliquot Polo, so we dressed up and went through! No pics I’m afraid… I will say that it was weird not having a drop of champagne when it was flowing all around me.

The following morning, I woke up early and went to fetch my Mom from the airport! She was teasing Sox that I’m sure he’s thrilled his Mother in Law is arriving on the second date of our anniversary! Haha! We’re so happy she’s come to visit. She doesn’t come very often – it’s been a year…but I tend to see her when I travel up to JHB, which is more often.

Sunday’s have turned into our: Do something different day.

I’ve always wanted to go on the red Hop On Hop Off City Sightseeing buses. This isn’t sponsored, by the way, we genuinely wanted to explore this.

Sox’s Mom came to join us, and off we went… We decided to do the Blue route. We started on Long street, got our headphones and sat up top with the sun on our faces and wind in our hair. It’s amazing what we learned as we whizzed pass. Nuggets of info I didn’t know about the very city I’ve made my home for the past 4 years.

We went through town, around Table Mountain, through Constantia to Hout Bay and then back along the Atlantic Board Cape Town coastline I love so much and into Sea Point, where we hopped off to get home.

You know when people say that Cape Town’s weather is like 4 seasons in one day? You’ll see what I mean… we went from cold, grey and gloomy, to hot and misty, to clearing skies and then a little bit of misty clouds again.

Table Mountain under thick cloud…

Warm and misty Constantia…

Which started clearing up…

Only to come around the corner to cloudy Hout Bay…

The Twelve Apostles under cloud

How cute are our Mom’s?
