Gift Ideas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I especially love gift shopping, well, let me clarify.

I don’t love trying to find parking at shopping centres (I uber now) or the hustle and bustle of crowds, but I do love shopping for people and picturing their faces when they open their gifts. It’s my best part!

Gifts don’t have to be expensive to be appreciated and when they’re personal and sentimental, they’re priceless.

If you’re not baking something wonderful and packing it up in something pretty, writing a beautiful heart felt letter or making other things you’re talented at, here are some gift ideas that every one will love.

For pure transparency, this is not a sponsored post either!

The easy gift: A Gift Voucher for a spa treatment or for their favourite store/online store. A coffee table book – you’ll know if they love fashion, cooking, photography or something quirky.A novel or autobiography – see what’s on the best sellers list, or find out their favourite genre or author. Alternatively get them a voucher for their Kindle.

Night wear – there is something really lovely about getting a new nighty or pajamas. This is from Papushka.

Make-up – this is personal, so if you know what shades they like to wear it becomes easier. Otherwise pick a brand and ask the assistants for help on something neutral or something they can exchange if they really don’t like the colours. You can also buy a make-up brush/brush set. Make-up storage boxes – always handy and appreciated.

Beauty products – something they wouldn’t buy themselves. Men can receive this too (and they love it), in fact Clarins have gorgeous ranges for men and it’s something men (generalising) rarely buy themselves.

Technology – a FitBit, bluetooth speakers, a Kindle/iPad depending on budget and any other gadget you know they’ll love.

A beautiful journal and pen.

A coffee plunger and coffees or a tea set and loose teas.

Le Creuset for the kitchen.

Perfume/Aftershave – you’d need to know what their signature fragrance is.

Jewellery and a jewellery tray.

Sunglass voucher from Sunglass Hut so they can choose the perfect pair for their face shape. An experience voucher – perhaps they’ve always wanted to paraglide off Signal Hill, or perhaps they’d love to do a cooking class or an advanced driving course.

A glampalm curler/ghd

Obviously there are so many more ideas, but this should give you some food for thought!

Anything you’d add? I’d love to hear!

Beautiful! What we’ve done for our son’s grandparents and godparents is chosen some of his best artwork from school, and stuck it on pretty paper and framed it. Simple yet stunning….in my (un)biased opinion! And I just know they’re gonna love it! Megan xx
