I was very excited to be a part of the Talk of The Town event last night, even though I did something completely out of my comfort zone.

My friend Tabitha Forrest and her company Pickled Ginger asked me to be a part of the showcase and be a celebrity model in the fashion show.

Um… Put me on a stage and ask me to MC – no problem. Put me on a ramp and ask me to model clothes and my legs feel like jelly.

How could I resist though… especially when part of the proceeds from the sale of the clothes and the auction is going to the Rhino Orphanage Foundation for baby rhino’s that have lost their mothers due to poaching.

The models on the night were Carol Ralafeta, Metro FM presenter – it was so good to see her – we go all the way back to varsity, retail radio and commercial radio and I’m very proud of her. My lovely friend and successful model, Charne Jade Terre’blanche and my BFF, model, business women, health and fitness guru and radio presenter on the BFF show – Karolina Sky.

I had such fun with them. Backstage we were drinking wine, touching up make-up and catching up.

We modelled clothes by Animale and even though I was nervous, I had so much fun. Comedian Christ Forrest and singer Jacques Terre’blanche MC’d the show and had me in stitches most of the time with their hilarious commentary.

The BFFs

In other news, I am moving this weekend. I’m very sad to be leaving my apartment, but it’s time for a new chapter and adventure. The apartment I’m leaving is super sentimental to my “twin” Morgan Ross and I. Morgan originally lived in the apartment, and I took it over when she got engaged. Between the 2 of us, there are a good 7-8 years of great memories with lots of laughter, lots of tears too, crazy nights and good parties. Oh if those walls could talk… Farewell #19… I will miss you.
