Autumn is slowly but surely sneaking in… Being up every morning at 04h30 to train, I can feel it’s cold fingers wrap their way around my face and fingers. Driving home after the show, I watch the sun set behind the buildings and trees, whereas before it was still light on returning home.
The leaves are starting to turn golden and red and there is a new smell in the air -it’s ever so crisp. It’s like Autumn is playing Peek a Boo with us.
Sure… she is pretty, but I’m not ready for Winter.
I’ve also been reading some international blogs and they’re so excited for Spring. I’m seeing photographs of blossoms and their chunky knitwear is being swapped for lighter fabrics and bright colours.
I’m jealous. Even though I’m still enjoying fresh watermelon, lapping up as much of the warm sunlight as I can and wearing my sundresses, I know it’s just around the corner and may be arriving sooner than expected.
Seasons are inevitable and they are so symbolic of change; something I’ve been going through since the beginning of the year. When changes happen they allow you to step out of your comfort zone and become exactly who you’re supposed to be, becoming better and stronger. It all depends on how you look at things.
I found this gorgeous, thought provoking quote by Jackson Kiddard and it gave me goosebumps.
“The Universe is desperate for you to follow your dreams. You will be surrounded by all the support you need if you choose to see life that way. So many live their life in fear. It’s such a rare moment when one of us wakes up and decides to plunge into the abyss of the unknown that the Universe will rejoice and provide everything you need for a successful journey. There will be obstacles, so it’s your job to decide how to react to each challenge. I promise you if you keep pressing on you will be presently surprised to find out what lies just on the other side of every perceived “failure”.
Nature provides the seasons with exactly what it needs to prune, remove, change and enhance… You can embrace it and make the most of it, or not. It’s up to you.
All we know is that like the seasons, change is inevitable.
Have a beautiful day everyone.
