On Saturday morning I woke up to a gorgeous day in Cape Town, picked Liz up and headed for Paternoster, a 2 hour trip from Cape Town.
Paternoster is a quaint fishing community frozen in time. The white cottages line the impressive coastline and it is a soulful place. I really believe that just a few hours, let alone a few days can completely rejuvenate your soul and also help you find yourself. Incredible place.
On driving into Paternoster, we noticed a lot of the locals trying to sell Crayfish. Crayfish season is only open from the 15th of November, so this is actually illegal to buy now.
We continued to Abalone House, where I’ve had the priviledge of staying before.
I stayed here in Winter, which was romantic with the sherry, red wine, log fires and moody weather. It’s just as romantic in the summer. It’s the holiday destination for any season, obviously.
Liz and I were greeted with cocktails and we set up in the gorgeous Abalone House Library.
Lunch was also served and we were spoilt with orgasmic tastes…
I interviewed Kevin Boshoff, the GM of Abalone House and had an awesome chat about Abalone House, Saffron Restaurant, Paternoster and even Tietiesbaai.
After our interview, Liz and I were spoiled with a High Tea. They also offer BeachNiks… which is High Tea, in a box on the beach… the ultimate beach picnic!
Look what they had made especially for me… Vanilla Ice Tea. Amazing!
I can’t believe “The Bailey Schneider Show” Road Trip on 2Oceansvibe Radio has come to an end… Thank you so much to Liz for all your professionalism and hard work over the past week. You’re an amazing sound engineer. To Annette Ashley from African Inspirational Marketing for this fantastic week of wonderful travels and all the hard work you put into it.
To Dean and Kirsty from 2Oceansvibe Radio – you guys have been incredible. Thank you.
