I can’t believe I nearly didn’t share this with you. I wrote about it and it’s been sitting in my draft box.
I recently got this Rose Gold Bullet watch by Nixon. The quality is phenomenal, the style of Nixon is evolving and the price is affordable.
In fact every time I don a Nixon, I get the best compliments and strangers actually ask me about my watch. Coffee shops and grocery store queues seem to be the conversation starter places. There is something wonderful about being complimented on an item you’re wearing by a complete stranger, isn’t there?
Let’s have a look at this beauty…
It has a patterned dark grey face with rose gold and royal blue tipped hands and a royal blue second hand. If you’re not a fan of the rose gold, the Nixon Bullet also comes in other colours, like the silver and yellow gold.
Here’s a fact that you might not have known. If you go into a watch shop, you’ll see all the watches are set at the time 10:10. Ever wondered why? It mimics a smile, which has a positive effect on the brain. Clever hey?
I love watches that have the date too – just be careful to change it when there is a month with 30 days only. The crown on the right of the watch (I love the royal blue and patterned detail on it, by the way) is pretty standard – it only needs to be pulled out once to adjust the time and pulled out completely to change the time.
I have the tiniest wrists. It’s actually ridiculous. I always have to take about 5-6 links out of a watch for it to fit comfortably, so I love a watch that has the perfectly sized watch face. This is the 38mm. It’s not too big and it’s not too small. It’s goldilocks just right.
It’s versatile and goes with everything – even with your yellow gold, silver and white gold jewellery/arm candy. Where can you buy your own Nixon watch? Check out the Nixon store in Canal Walk or go online to takealot. They have the full range for you.
