When I started this post I thought I wouldn’t have any photos to share. I didn’t think I’d taken a lot of photos lately, but then I should also know myself…
The weather has turned icy and we aren’t having nearly enough rain, but the rain we are getting, I’ll take! This weather always makes me hungry. We went to friends for dinner and they served the most delicious curry.
We also had some fun with Snapchats face swap. I don’t think I look too bad as a brunette, but then Vanilla Blonde would have to change, name wise.
Chocolate Chip?
No.
I’m a true blonde! I actually tried going brunette a few years ago and it was not for me. It was fun to do these face swaps though!
When Sox and I did it, I nearly fell over! It’s bloody scary!
These snapchat lenses crack me up…
Since I started with food, let’s continue… We visited Forrester’s Arms (Forries) and my mom in law and Sox had Banting Pizza. I had the Banting lamb burger, which was stuffed with cheese! So good.
Our Pilates instructor, Jess, introduced us to the Banting Pizza at Butlers Pizza. We had a date night of a zucchini base and pumpkin base pizza with red wine and a movie on the couch! It was awesome.
I met a friend of mine, Natalie, on Saturday morning at Tasha’s for breakfast… I had the everything-in-it omelette. So yum.
Work has been amazing and busy. I’m very grateful for all the opportunities coming my way (I am monitoring myself though, because I can feel burnout is near if I don’t.) Last week, Shireen Louw from Inspired Women asked to interview me. We laughed so much and as soon as the filmed interview is ready, I’ll share it!
I started doodling these feathers the other day, and minutes later Sox started talking about his Dad and how he’d been thinking of him and a feather landed right at his feet. It was a special moment, when I turned my sketch book around and showed him what I’d been doodling.
What wasn’t a special moment, is being informed that someone had used my profile pic as their own. I reported to FB and they were removed. They say it’s a form of flattery, but I find it time consumingly unnecessary.
Speaking of compliments, this really humbled me. I received an Instagram message from Jeanie, who lives in Malaysia. She had done this sketch and water colour of me. Here is the original I had posted to Instagram at the beginning of the year…
Thank you Jeanie. You are so talented, it’s incredible.
In girly news, I went to Fox Box for a manicure – I love this “Hocus Pocus” colour, it’s a greyish, duck egg colour!
The BEST news of all was finding out that my good friend, Lisa had her baby boy on Friday 24 June. After work, I went through to the hospital to meet him on his birthday! He is absolutely perfect and such a cute baby! Congrats Lisa and Danny! On Sunday, Sox came to meet him… Oh and he shaved his beard off, something he does every few years!
If I could live in my pajamas, I would. I also realised I must be loving stripes – particularly white and navy ones.
Winter always boasts some of the most vibrant sunsets. I managed to take this just as I finished my radio show…
I’m so sorry this blog post is so late… I’ve had a 13 hour non-stop day!
Tomorrow I am hosting the TRESemmé event with Chris Naselli. He is the New York Fashion Week Look Co-ordinator and celebrity hairstylist (Katie Holmes, Emma Roberts, Olivia Munn, Minnie Driver etc.) I need to be there at 7am and then the event starts 11-3pm and then my radio show, so no blog post tomorrow! I’ve run out of time! Please forgive me.

What a cute baba! Love the stripey pj’s – I also find that I go through stages like that, suddenly everything is pink, or stripey, or dots, or whatever LOL
