It has been a while since I did a Life Lately post, so I’m basically cramming 2 weeks into one post.
It’s photo heavy, so grab a cup of tea and scroll away!
I always love business trips up to Johannesburg, because I get to see my family, Duke and my best friends!
Pictures always say it best… and SnapChat. I am having so much fun with this app. At first, I was like: Huh? BUT… now I’m using it as a bit of a Vlog! If you want to watch what I’m getting up to as things happen, follow me. My SnapChat name is BaileyVanilla
Hotel selfies… because…
Ready to leave… and head over to my family home!
My sister and brother-in-law came over to my folks and we all ate dinner and watched their wedding venue and saw their wedding photos. Absolutely GORGEOUS!
There is something special about being back in my childhood bedroom… I’ve missed the view!
Who can resist cuddles from Duke… Even more so in Winter.
Just look at this face…
Steve Madden was having a sale and I had to find extra space in my suitcase for these black beauties
What would a Life Lately post be without some delicious meals…
Lemon, butter grilled fish and veggies…
On Saturday (6 June) it was my very good friend, Jacqui’s Birthday… I surprised her by rocking up at her birthday celebration!
It was so good to catch up with varsity friends too!
After a wonderful weekend, it was time to head back to Cape Town…

In other news… I made Mom’s roast chicken with roast sweet potatoes and it was DELICIOUS! I’ll have to share the recipe with you soon.
My good friends, Lucia and Tomislave bought me Apple and Vanilla loose tea and I bought this Lady tea infuser from Banks kitchen. It is so delicious and smells like Apple crumble, perfect on a cold, rainy day!
Speaking of cold weather, I always crave soup and warm stews and curries!
I finally got to visit Bacon on Bree for a business meeting and a delicious bowl of mushroom and bacon soup! When it first arrived, besides loving the cute piggy board and beautiful bowl it arrives in, I thought it was massive and that I’d never get through all of it.
I did.
It was so good I was tempted to use my finger to lick up every last drop.
I didn’t.
We said farewell to our mermaid friend, Dani who is moving back home to Durban!
On Saturday I was on a MISSION. I am the biggest hoarder ever. I took every clothing item I own – Summer and Winter and sorted through everything.
The result?
I’ve got 5 bags FULL to donate to charity.
I then moved onto my beauty products and have some boxes of items to donate!
It feels so good to spring winter (?) clean and know that I could possibly help those in need.
This I discovered as I was walking into 2Oceansvibe Radio. I’m sure it’s been there for ages, but I always discover something new when I’m in Woodstock. It helps to look up too!
Tomorrow is Youth Day. Sox and I are heading out to look at a wedding venue option and then I’ll be celebrating an amazing friend of mine, Lisa’s 30th lunch, before heading to my afternoon drive show on Smile 90.4 FM.
I hope you have an amazing day!
