Dove’s Purely Pampering

It’s no secret that I love Vanilla. This blog name comes from loving Vanilla Tea so much, that when my blog first began, people started addressing me as “Dear Vanilla Blonde…” and so the blog name evolved.

The other fragrance I love is coconut. I am obsessed with all things that smell like coconut.

So when I received the new Dove Beauty Bars and Purely Pampering body wash in the new fragrances, I did a happy dance on the spot.

Dove’s signature scent mixed with warm vanilla tones in the shea butter and warm vanilla fragrance and mixed with coconut milk and jasmine petals is a sensory delight. I actually can’t quite decide which one is my favourite out of the two.

I am also a big fan of Dove’s beautiful campaigns that make women feel genuinely beautiful and also make us question our beliefs in beauty and self worth.

This campaign still stands out for me the most:

The body washes create a creamy, aromatic lather and my skin feels so good and moisturised afterwards. They also have NutriumMoisture™ in them, which is the most effective natural nourishment. It is a breakthrough formulation that gives skin the essential nourishment it needs. While other body washes may sit on top of the skin, NutriumMoisture™ absorbs into the skin delivering ultimate hydration.

Bit of a funny story – when I first moved to the Uk and had run out of my usual daily moisturiser, I popped into Boots to buy some more, and picked up a lovely Dove moisturiser which I proceeded to use it even though I always thought it funny that it used to leave my skin slightly sticky after applying it every morning, because ultimately, my skin felt moisturised and smelt divine. So 2 weeks after I started using the “cream”, I had a proper look at the bottle and realised I had been using body wash…as a moisturiser…for 2 weeks. I could have died from laughter 😛 So even as a body lotion, the body wash works a treat 🙂
