My school uniform was green (bottle green) and as a result I went off green for ages. I didn’t want to wear anything green until recently. I’ve been loving green again. Granted nothing I wear now looks remotely like a school uniform, but isn’t it funny how we associate things.
It’s interesting that I’ve been drawn to green lately.
Green is synonymous with balance and harmony. It’s the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart. Green is the colour of growth, the colour of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It renews and restores depleted energy. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being. This is why there is so much of this relaxing colour on the earth, and why we need to keep it that way.
I’ve been feeling like I need more balance and nature in my life and I adore Spring – it always makes me feel brand new.
When I saw this dress at Poetry, I knew I had to have it. I tried it on and bought it straight away. Yip, this is unsponsored.
I love how light the fabric is and how flowy it is. I love the length – just above the ankles. It’s still considered a maxi dress, but your gorgeous shoes won’t be hidden.
The pièce de résistance? It has pockets!
I bought these shoes in London – they’re leather and comfortable.
These are new Ray Bans from Sunglass Hut. They’re mirrored and look so different all the time, which makes them versatile. In these photos they look yellow. In other pics they look rose gold.
When you have a dress with a botanical print, there is only place to photograph it. The Cape Town Company Gardens… I love it there and I actually don’t visit enough. I could spend hours watching the squirrels dart up and down trees and across pathways. I felt rejuvenated being in that greenery.
This Blackcherry Leather bag is ON SALE at Zando and there are only 2 left. Don’t wait!

How tall are you Bailey? I just want to gauge how long the dress is, as I’m tall and struggle to find dresses & skirts that are a nice length.

Hahah Gina! I bought a bottle green t-shirt and I’ve worn it once. It’s amazing how that colour has such a connotation for us Brescia girls 😛
