I often get asked about my hair. I know it sounds funny but I’m going answer a few questions I have received in the last few months.
Yes…I am a natural blonde … but I am a dark blonde that isn’t very vibrant at all. I’d even call it mousy. I add in loads of highlights to get my hair back to how I used to be as a little girl.
I have tried so many different things over the years. I have cut my hair short (read: Disaster), I have dyed the underneath of my hair bright Ferrari red with platinum blonde on top ~Think Christina Aguilera early days.
I also wanted to see what I would look like as a brunette but it really washed me out (read: Bad Idea!)
At the end of the day, I am a true blonde. The problem is you can’t do much with blonde hair and since I don’t want to ever cut my hair short again – there’s not much one can do to make long blonde hair look different.
Or so I thought.
I have found the best hair stylist at Studio 9 in Melrose Arch.
Her name is Lindsay-Jade Calvert (my little Bohemian Babe) and she is so incredibly talented. She always does the funkiest things for me and whenever I walk out of the salon, I feel hotter than Heidi Klum.
I have been all different types of blonde, including a new blonde that is called: “White Chocolate.”
Today Lindsay-Jade and I decided to add some of my natural blonde colour through the light highlights and then I cut a fringe … Eeek. I had a fringe for 10 years during school and then grew it out. I wanted a fringe that was long enough for me to clip back but short enough to not be in my eyes when it’s forward.
I actually like it … It’s my Boho Bailey look… I just hope I’ll be able to style it the same way.
Hairstylists are amazing… with super powers.
I have the styling products, the GHD straightener and so on and no matter how hard I try to recreate the look – my hair never looks the same as when I walk out of the salon.
They say a change is as good as a holiday… Think I’ll take my new hair do out for a Pina Colada then 😉
